The Appeal of Mystery Fiction
I think the principal appeal of mystery fiction in general is is the idea that you have these ordinary people ordinary people who are allowed and indeed end up doing extraordinary things in the name of justice. I agree sort of the democratic aspect of that the idea that if you just paid enough attention you too would be able to solve all of these murders. But on the flip side the other murder show I enjoy watching is Hannibal and that's just like Will Graham's got a special power and he can just using symbolism solve anything with his mind so there's a lot of whiplash for my husband depending on which show I'm watching well actually let's go back to Colomo for a second we should play
