The Blinding's Glove
Lark knows she's running out of time. The darkness in this desert is not like any darkness you've ever known. It is a physical presence, it is dark matter hanging in the air. Lark pulls on a red glove to try and stop the blinding from killing her cow. She can see through its translucent flesh the blue white glimmers of its bioluminescence. There's nothing quite like the sound of a blinding's barbs plunging into a dead creature's eyeballs.
