Kyoto's Future Meiji - A Brief History

Starting in 1856, Kome began to take a more direct hand in the raising of his child. He had made appearances at court and participated in court rituals but he'd only been there temporarily. As a part of that he ordered the boy be relocated into the palace itself. The future Meiji started sleeping very poorly, which was blamed on malignant spirits needing exorcism.
