Is There a Mind in All Living Systems?
Some logists argue that mindedness is actually an inherent property of most, if not all living systems. Perhaps even plants can experience a kind of pain, a kind of aversion to things that happen to them. And this opening up to the environment, he thinks, might be, in itself, enough to generate a kind of proto feeling. perhaps there might even be something it is like to be a single nuron.
