Water Filters for Heavy Metals

The surface of myselium is just completely covered in these electrically charged binding sites. So when you have something like a heavy metal floating around, and it has its charge, and then it runs into the surface of the micelium, it will bind to it through electro chemical, electrostatic bonding. There are industries that are utilizing this technology ot this point. But i think there's probably a lot of potential with myselium as a water filter, especially for things like heavy metals.
