What's the Relationship Between the Film and the Real Life Story?
"I don't think it's a masterpiece by any means," says Steven Spielberg. "But I do understand that some people have their noses put out of joint by the way they are portrayed" The film has been criticised for its treatment of Lester University and Sally Hawkins as an 'academic' who should be taken more seriously than she is. But he defends his choice, saying there was no need to take such liberties with the true story.
