It's all about expectation setting as well as making sure you're building good agreements. If a project is going to potentially be late and you're sitting here explaining like, oh my gosh, this thing took longer than it was, right? You can get really into this defensive mode sometimes. It's important to take a step back and explain things like, okay, well, maybe this took longer because the team actually ended up working on this other critical business project that actually made the company money. And so this had to slip so that we could accomplish this first business goal instead of being defensive about it.
