i spent most of my career actually studying micro rit the individual balance sheets of companies. I only had to really force myself to start paying attention to mackerel matters when i got involved in no energy related investments about seven years ago. The reason why i think that's relevant is because if you look at what makes a fiat currency worthy of no safety and sound ness, it's a whole host of features.
