I would assume when Mr. Fox looks at Ash, he can't find he can't he can'tfind himself. And so then Ash just gets if he can't fit into the schema of Mr. Fox, then he's not making sense period and there's no flexibility to get to know Ash. I think what I respect about him, which I hope will be a protective factor in the long run is that he does seem to be having a real push and pull within himself about his dad. He doesn't seem psyched to be engaging with his father, right? He spits on the ground. It basically has a real fuck off look on his face.
