I think it's a culture difference. You feel in the US, people kind of sugarcoat their disagreement more that. I come from a culture of circles where being more open and frank about your message is kind of appreciated. So if your sugarcoat thinks too much to an extent where you almost don't see the message itself because you have so much cultural nuance to even get the point, then it's kind of too much.
