Are the Rings a Moon or a Ring?
How do we know what is inside a ring without actually going up there and taking a scoop of it? It's really fascinating question. And it turns out to be totally dominated by the gravity of the planet, how far you are away from that planet. So Saturn's rings could conceivably have turned into moons if they had been in a different situation. Butgravity does more than just pull the moon into orbit or keep the rings in orbit. He can also pull them apart.
