The Mackenzie Family Killer
The mackenzie family murderer left a partial palm print on an interior wall. In the same room, there were three oily finger tip prints on the edge of a door. These markings appeared to have been made as the killer closed the door behind them. Investigators removed the entire door so it too could undergo forensic testing at the western australia camp centre in perth. Given that they weren't full finger prints, their best bet was to identify what the oily substance was. The team concluded the print had been made using a sobeline like substance, which is a common type of hand lotion but they couldn't be sure exactly what the product was.
