Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Common Presentation
RA probably affects about 1% of adults in industrialized countries. Interestingly, we tend to think of RA and a number of autoimmune conditions as being more common in women. It's fairly common to see a borderline positive rheumatoid factor. The tests are helpful, but they're not definitive.
