Is Russian or Slavic Language Difficult?

Steve says the grammar for Slavic languages is very difficult to learn. In Russian, there's no particular logical reason why a word is either masculine or feminine. The more you use it, the better you get in every language - even English. Steve: "I find myself at times in Russian afraid to speak"
