click house was designed for sopher engineers to use in their production applications where you need to have an exposed analytic experience. It's cost efficient enough to make it reasonable to store that raw data indefinitely, even if its uncompressed size is measured in pedabites. And then it was also cheaper, cause you do some cool things on the compression so that you're not storing as much when you're using click house.
