Why English Speakers Don't Follow Latin Grammar
Linguists once thought that english grammar should mimic latin grammar. This was the period when many of our modern rules of grammar were actually formulated. But overtime, English speakers have started to break down those latin endings. And some scholars think that it's because those rules aren't really organic. They were largely imposed from the outside.
