The Consulations of Philosophy achieved amazing success. But some academic philosophers reacted quite strongly against it. I became abroad in a kind of turf war with certain academics. It really does seem a pity because this is the narcissism of small differences. We should all have been friends and basically on the same side. But instead there were some battles.
