The Definition of Gaslighting

The term originates in the systematic psychological manipulation of a victim by her husband. The 1938 stage play gaslight was made to be a movie with a different title. Gaslighting abuse can be perpetrated either by women or men withholding is one gaslighting technique where the abuser fains a lack of understanding, refuses to listen and decline to share his emotions.
