The Overton Window Shift in the Voting Rights Act
I totally agree and I think the sort of Rick Hasen, Rick Pildes contingent who said this has planted a poison pill. This is in some sense codifying the Renquist opinion in Bush v Gore that was a laugh line until it was the law. The fact that the court doesn't always do the ridiculous thing can't be the new metric by which we you know write pieces about how Kavanagh and Barrett have moved to the center because this case was insane.
