We need the lights on all the time, and that's surveillance for bacteria, for viruses. And then if you get an outbreak, an epidemic, a pandemic, of something, you pivot the laboratory to that period. You've got to have a system that you amplify, pivot and amplify as needed. No one's safe until everyone's safe. So think about resistant bacteria. A nice Swedish study some years ago, they sent backpack,. well, they didn't send them off. Backpackers had their microbiome looked at, resistant genomes in their microbiome. Off they go, they come back and almost all of them had resistance in their genome. so you can pick it up and travel
