Karena, who is a cambridge historian that specializes in the notse period, started digging into her family history. Because they were famous, there was a lot of history to find. Karena collected family letters and newspaper clippings and national archive materials. She published her own book in 20 20. It's called alice's book, how the notse stole my grandmother's cook book. But now it isn't her book. Instead of her name on the cover, it has the name of this other guy, rudolph roch. No one even knows if rudolph rouch existed.

In the 1930s, Alice Urbach wrote a beloved cookbook in Vienna. But during the Holocaust it was stolen: Aryanized, peppered with Nazi ideology and republished under someone else's name. The publisher refused to change it back for more than 85 years. Alice got her intellectual rights restored by her granddaughter Karina Urbach, a historian, who joins us to tell the story.
