How to Share a Kitchen With a Roommate

I've seen some roommates share like plates and utensils and sometimes even like groceries and stuff. Other times people are super separated about it so each roommate will come armed with their own set of plates own set of cups etc. I think otherwise we have only ever shared things that make sense to share like butter like eggs bread or something dude have you seen the egg prices? I think it's like normal again. But those are the only things that we've ever really sharedlike in my house right now we don't share our plates and pans we all have separate.
