The Disappearance of a Body of Water

The massive pond or lake which, whenever you chose to call it, was gone. A stinky horrid pool of death had disappeared. The events that unfolded in the months and years following are really confusing and agonizing to me. Now that I'm a sick old man with no one left to tell my story I'm putting pen to paper. Included with my account is the original map showing the location of the Phantom Lake. To whatever poor soul discovers this envelope I beg you don't repeat the same mistakes I made. You may be the new keeper of this information but it doesn't mean you must share it. Ultimately what you choose to do with this story is solely up to you.
