The Role of Postmodernism in Creating the Post Truth World

The worst examples, it's interesting because we can talk about consequences to individuals. And so certainly, there's some examples where people have been injured and even died as a consequence of misinformation. I ran people have ingested alcohol and methanol based on false information that went viral on social media telling people that that helps cure the coronavirus. So obviously that has has really damaging consequences at the individual level. But then we could also think about the effects of misinformation or disinformation at the societal level. The effect of misinformation isn't always the directly influenced behavior but sometimes it can erode the quality of public debate. It can create polarization in societal conflict.
