Is Hegel the Most Pessimistic Philosopher of All Time?

I think if you think of Hegel the way I think of him, he's maybe the most pessimistic philosopher of all time. Like a lot of people that want to attack Hegel, attack him as a philosopher who's too optimistic about history. He thinks along the same lines that we're always seeking to create a deeper problem for ourselves rather than seeking to find a solution to the problems that we have. Find little ways to get through the day that allow you not to think about the larger contradiction to use the term. Just live for the moment.
