Running is a stress and lever, but it's still physical stress on your body. You need to give your body time to build up and then recover from these big cycles that are going to get your peak performance from you. If you have all the money in the world, maybe you could like test a few days before the event if things really bad, maybe reconsider doing the event. But I know that's super huge luxury for most people who can't do that.
