There are a lot of people in Wild's larger circle who were either known or suspected of working for different governments. I think that Schwab was really instrumental in introducing that element that Wilde felt so intriguing and dangerous into his life. But I don't think that anyone dragged him kicking and screaming in that direction. And I think if he found it really inspiring actually to have a different sort of semi-criminal aspect to his life, then if it hadn't been Schwab, I don't know if it would have been someone else.
