Is This Really a New Zealand Thing?

For years, we thought Kiwi is a New Zealand thing. And then later I discovered that it was actually a Chinese plant from Sichuan Province. People are now buying more of domestic Kiwis. They're so much cheaper. Like I could buy a whole box, like five pounds or more with like 30 kwai. That's like, wow, five dollars. But in the past, I was like three kwas from New Zealand.
