The tragedy of coffee shops is a lot of us enter into the industry with a lot of bluster and ego, not a lot of discipline for thought planning. We can't expect perfection but we can mitigate needless confusion and inconsistency through systems. But without them, we just kind of let inconsistency and confusion be the baseline by which people judge us then they're surprised when things go right.
