i think there's a wide sensein a lot of people that these very basic structures of em sensibility are disintegrating. I do agree ree seng on a huge scale. But i think what's collapsing is a certain kind of extremely smug notion of transcendent secular rationalism. And to loop this right back to what you are saying, i think hat that fragility is making people very bad tempered.
