The Most Difficult Word Has Already Been Said
The parable of Jesus doesn't end with both people like walking away never having a difficult conversation. He assumes that your neighbor needs you to deal with their spec. Who do you need to deal with the telephone pole in your eye? You need Jesus first and foremost, and then you need your neighbor. And it creates the space for grace. It's messy. Oh my gosh, it's so messy, you guys. But that's the way forward.
