Are You Evaluating TAM?
When you're in zero to one mode, I'm very skeptical of the notion of TAM because most great startups, there is no market yet. What I like to say is when you go out into the future, you want to put your inflections through different frames of reference about the future. That's one framing. Another frame would be how do you think society is going to change? How do you think employment will change? You know, if you're selling into an environment where the incumbents SAP and they price per seat, is there a world where the right product should be priced by the transaction? And so you're trying to create divergent rather than convergent ideas.
