Are Ashes a Sign of Mortality?

Ashes were a symbol of repentance from our father in the faith, Job ancient jews. It's not a mortal sin to take ashes off your forehead. But if it's not going to be a gift for whatever reason, you are not obliged to keep it on all day. As a priest, i ashly wipe the ashes off my forehead onbes sometime after mass,. When i put the owl back on, i don't want the ashes to get on my owp for the next mass. And so i hope somebody does see your ashes and they come back to jesus because of you. God is so much bigger than us with our little responses to his glory.
