The Fed's Predictions for Inflation
The big miss really this year has not come on inflation, it's come in the labor market where the labor force has rebounded extremely rapidly. The probability of a softer landing or mild recession is higher and the Fed doesn't have to lean on the labor market as much perhaps to bring inflation down. Do you think that the reinstatement of having to pay back your student debt after three years of a moratorium is gonna have a material impact on both growth and inflation in the United States later this year? I think we would come down on the side that from a macro perspective, it's unlikely to have a material effect.
