Is There a Difference Between Religion and Science?

I wanted to ask you, it doesn't seem like the cathedrals, like this type of thinking and pure science was invested in just theCathedral. Is it true that a couple thousand years ago, they would build the majority of their buildings with acoustics in mind? I've been reading a book recently on the Phoenician cult going back to 3000 BC. The language described by some of the Phoenicians and and captured by later Greek classical writers is really remarkable. So you can see that science emerged from religion.
