There's a distinction between institutional racism and structural racism. Institutional racism would be an institution which has racism built into its procedure. Structural racism takes it a step further with the idea of power structures within society. Er foco described as a kind of grid of power. That that this is where raceism lies. It's, in other words, it's the critical race theorist’s idea, that every human interaction is underpinned by racism whether you know it or not.
