Sally Kohn: Why do you think Orwell's vision has loomed larger and popular culture than Postman's warning, which we seem to have ignored largely in favor of more screens and more entertainment? Kohn: We wonder if we are somehow resistant to seeing that we are being sort of lulled into the state by entertainment where everything is just way too trivial. "I would not say that it's only on consumers to be sure, but we are part of the problem," she says.
