The Impact of the Sunami on Health
Survivors who directly experience the sunami are at higher risks for chronic illness such as hard eas and diabetes. Child hight is a powerful predictor of health, mortality and socio economic status. Those who were economically worse off before the sunami were more likely to receive an assistance house. And those who owned homes that were destroyed, 80 % ad a replacement house within five years of the disaster.
