Sophie: I think part of Lomborg's falling from grace is that people have started to like California has always had wildfires. He also chides journalists saying they uncritically spread the litany, and he accuses the public of an unfounded readiness to believe the worst. People don't want to buy into doomsday beliefs, not really. Most people want to believe that everything's going to be fine and they don't need to worry about a problem.
