Sophia: I think a question that's kind of provoked me in these days preparing for this episode is, am I attracted to being like Mary and the space that I can most easily see resistance but actually a very deep desire to be more like Mary? John: Yeah. It's been very easy in my own becoming a mother to look at Mary as an example and her love for Jesus as a child, Jesus as a man. And also to go back to what you're saying earlier, Sophia, that shows us why we don't have to be afraid. She simply reflects the love of the father and draws us deeper into relationship with him.
