Queen Victoria's Bloomers

I wasn't expecting the full blast of Victoria underwear. I just have great admiration for her because she was imperfect. She is lauded as such an important monarch, but she made a lot of missteps and that kind of endures her to me. What frustrated me is that they they claimed that she had a 50 inch waist. And that's not how bloomers work. They were imagining they were tight. But in fact, bloomers for weren't cinch to great deal. You needed a lot of fabric involved to make them bloom.
