Richardson: I was drawn to metaphysics, and then whatt cracked you open with merton was the pigs. He recalls a deer that walked right past him as he sat in the snow looking up into the sky for God. "I can remember it was so still i could hear the snow hitting the hissing," Richardson says. The monk's last year of monastic life is being celebrated this week on November 6.
