Anil Agrawal is the author of a new book on consciousness. He says that perception and consciousness are not about accuracy, they are about interacting with the world in a way that keeps us alive. There is no scientific reason to restrict consciousness to humans even if we can obtain verbal reports from non human animals. This interview was full of nuggets, but simmanly scratches the surface of anil's wonderful new book which i recommend to everyone.
