What Makes a Treatment Ordinary?
There's a common misconception that once we've started a treatment, we can't stop it. The moral distinction between ordinary and extraordinary means is used both when discerning whether to withhold or to withdraw treatment. So what makes a treatment ordinary in the moral sense? It's a bit confusing as well because this terminology also is sometimes used in medical fields.
