The Fundamental Lesson of Software Development - Trust

I think that you're on the right track there where these are the kinds of reasons why rewrite would make sense. The thing that I just cannot get my head around is this idea that your trust is so important when you are doing anything bold and trust is so easy to destroy. It's really hard to create. And I just see action after action after action that destroys that trust, which feels like maybe a fundamental missing link.
