The Rise of Independent Filmmaking in LA
I feel like people love New York all over the world, you know. I'm excited to see what video it does when they open and there's branded studios now. LA film permit office is really stringent about cracking down on this and charge a pretty significant amount for permits. It has a number of bureaucratic restrictions around filmmaking that don't exist in New York where you can actually still film a movie in the streets, unpurmitted, grill-style. And if you try to do the same thing in Los Angeles, you'll end up stopped and shaken that way.
