The Importance of Elder Meetings

I was the first elder chair and I deliberately chaired it to sort of set the spirit for it. The chairman is the one who's assembling the agenda, publishing the agenda, managing the business as the discussion goes on. Those early elders means were really long; those often went post midnight. And I certainly learned something and eventually we were all happy when we handed the chairmanship over to someone else.
