While all this was going on, the containment policy towards hitler was in full swing by nevill chamberlain. Germany would go on a par push, claiming they just wanted danzig, not poland. But there was an increasing amount of tension between all sides that eventually lead to the outbreak of world wartoo. This included canadian prime minister at the time, william leon mackenzie king,. who would eventually lead canada to war, but would blame poland for the war and general for not giving them danzig.
