How to Build a Successful Cross Training Program

The main message here is you want to be doing as many days a week as you can sustainably. And for the most part, I'm recommending that people build up to running five or six days a week in most cases. Don't add speed work until you get to about 25 miles per week of consistent running. A rough blueprint for what that would look like would be a 10 mile long run, a medium long run and a quality workout that are five miles each.
