The Relationship Between the US Revolution and the French Revolution
The price increase of French revolution is about 11,000%. It's quite high. The Confederate policymakers were then influenced by the French experience with high-performance when they sought to make their currency redeemable for gold after the war's end. So we do see this reciprocity of ideas that are emerging out of these experiences cross influencing policymakers in two countries across time.
